Owner's engineer

When the EPC contractor makes every technical decision, cost overruns and defects surface at the end, once they can no longer be argued. We sit on your side of the table throughout delivery, with our own technical judgement and the ability to say no in time.

What's included

• Review of detailed engineering and technical specifications before manufacturing.
• Support with EPC tendering: tender documents, technical comparison of bids and scope negotiation.
• Supervision of manufacturing, assembly and quality, with workshop and site inspections.
• Programme and cost control, with early warning of deviations.
• Management of changes, variation orders and claims.
• Validation of the test protocol, commissioning, and provisional and final acceptance.

When you need it

• You are contracting a plant or installation on a turnkey EPC basis.
• You do not have in-house technical staff available to follow the works in enough detail.
• A lender or a partner requires independent technical supervision.
• The works are already late or over budget and you need to regain control of the contract.

How we work

On a monthly retainer, with a single point of contact who knows the project from start to finish. We are independent of the contractor: our only obligation is to the owner, and that shows in the reviews we sign.
