Special plan for the protection of nature and landscape

Protecting an area is not only about prohibiting things: it is about deciding which uses are compatible, under what conditions and with what management regime. The special protection plan is the instrument that sets this out with regulatory force.

How we work

We combine the planning team with the natural environment team: the zoning comes out of fieldwork, not the office. Article 67 of the Catalan planning act and Catalan Law 8/2005 on landscape protection, management and planning.
